Asset Tracking for Automotive
Track body carriers, sequenced part containers, and tugger trains across your assembly facility. Protect takt time by knowing where everything is.
Where Things Break Down
Sequenced part containers arrive out of order
JIS containers must arrive at the line in exact sequence. When a container is misplaced between receiving and the line, the sequence breaks and the station stops.
Tugger train positions are unknown between routes
Your material flow depends on tugger trains running fixed routes, but you cannot see where they are between stops. Late deliveries to a station only become visible when the buffer empties.
Returnable container tracking is manual
Returnable packaging moves between your plant and suppliers. Without real-time visibility on your side, container counts are only accurate at inventory time.
What Sandhed Does Differently
Sandhed connects to your existing RTLS infrastructure through dedicated bridge services for UWB, BLE, and RFID systems. Tag positions are transformed from vendor coordinates to your floor plan coordinate system and displayed as live markers on your 3D model. You see every tracked forklift, tool, cart, and WIP container on the actual floor layout, updated continuously. Zone-based events trigger alerts when assets enter or leave defined areas.
Live Asset Positions on Your Floor Plan
BLE, UWB, and RFID tag positions mapped to your 3D floor plan in real time. See every tracked forklift, tool, and WIP container on the actual layout with continuous position updates.
Zone Entry and Exit Alerts
Define zones on your floor plan and get notified when assets enter or leave. Track dwell times in staging areas, flag tools that leave their assigned zone, and monitor forklift traffic patterns.
Multi-Vendor RTLS Support
Connect UWB systems, BLE beacons, RFID readers, and overhead tracking in a single view. Sandhed normalizes data from seven RTLS vendors into one unified position format on your floor plan.
Coordinate Mapping Wizard
A visual calibration tool aligns your RTLS vendor's coordinate system with your floor plan. Place control points, compute the transformation, and verify accuracy with a grid overlay before going live.

Common Questions
Sandhed integrates with UWB (sub-meter accuracy), BLE Angle-of-Arrival (room-level accuracy), RFID readers (zone-level tracking), overhead RFID arrays, and RAIN RFID systems. Each technology connects through a dedicated bridge service that normalizes position data into a single format on your floor plan. You can mix technologies in the same facility.
No. Sandhed connects to your existing RTLS hardware through MQTT or REST integrations. If you already have UWB anchors, BLE locators, or RFID readers installed, Sandhed reads from them directly. The coordinate mapping wizard aligns your vendor's coordinate system with your floor plan so positions display correctly.
Each building can have its own RTLS vendor and coordinate mapping. When an asset moves between buildings, the system picks up the new position from the local RTLS infrastructure. The floor plan view switches building context automatically. GPS-tracked assets like outdoor forklifts use a separate geo-anchor system for positioning.
For assets without RTLS tags, you can use the Telemetry REST API to push position updates from any source, including barcode scanners, manual check-ins, or custom edge devices. The API accepts XYZ coordinates and updates the asset's position on the floor plan. For true real-time tracking, RTLS tags are recommended.
Facilities with high mobile equipment counts typically recover setup costs within 60 days. The primary savings come from reduced search time (operators stop walking the floor), better utilization of shared equipment like forklifts, and fewer missed deliveries caused by lost WIP. Each hour saved on asset searches is an hour returned to production.

Inventory Visibility
Your WMS knows quantities. Sandhed shows you where that inventory physically sits on your floor plan, with zone-based counts and heatmaps that update as stock moves.
